Moana is a certified Ayurveda practitioner based in Gisborne with her own clinic Ayurwell, where she offers Ayurvedic consultations and treatments. Moana started studying Ayurveda as a way of living eight years ago. Her first formal studies and experience were in Sri Lanka in 2013 with the Ayurvedic Dr. Kumara. During her stay at an Ayurvedic clinic in Sri Lanka she received Panchakarma therapy and at the same time did a practical internship. In 2014 she completed a one-year Ayurvedic online course through the school of Ayurveda and Panchakarma in Kerala, India. Part of the course was a three month practical studies at the college in Kerala. In 2016 Moana completed a three month internship in Kerala with Dr. Raveendranath at the Poonthottam Ayurvedasram hospital. In 2019 she started studies in Advanced Ayurvedic Medicine with the Australian College Of Ayurveda called Equals.
Moana is offering ongoing education in Ayurveda to sixteen keen students in Gisborne. She has also co-hosted two Ayurveda retreats together with her yoga teacher and offered Ayurvedic cooking classes and educational talks.
