BOOK NOW FOR OUR RETREAT
Ayurveda Day Retreat
Join us at Bali Garden in Matakana for an Ayurveda Day Retreat. This will be an authentic experience of ayurvedic food, treatments, cleansing practices, educational talks and Yoga in a tranquil setting just an hour from Auckland.
Escape for the day and immerse yourself in the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. Learn about its history, philosophy, basic principles, and daily rituals. The program will include a traditional Hatha Yoga class, morning tea and lunch with
nourishing ayurvedic food, an 'Introduction to Ayurveda' talk, a workshop with demonstrations of ayurvedic cleansing techniques and a relaxing Yoga Nidra session.
Each participant will receive an ayurvedic treatment called Shiro Abhyanga while listening to the educational talks sitting on a conformable massage chair. Shiro Abhyanga involves massaging the scalp, neck, and shoulders with warm medicated herbal oils. Based on a preliminary questionnaire and a physical assessment we will determine your
dosha (body-mind constitution) to select a suitable medicated oil for your Shiro
Abhyanga massage.
