Escape to the breathtaking West Coast for a day dedicated to cleansing, renewal and reconnection.

Kula is set amongst the rolling green hills of Muriwai, with sweeping ocean views from your yoga mat, our Spring Reset Ayurveda Day Retreat brings together the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with cleansing Yoga, Panchakarma teachings, nourishing seasonal food, Qigong and breathwork for somatic emotional release.

Move, breathe, learn and nourish yourself as we explore cleansing on every level — physical, mental and emotional. Enjoy a delicious Ayurvedic plant-based lunch overlooking the West Coast, discover how a deeper Panchakarma cleanse can support renewal, and experience practices designed to help you release what no longer serves you and create space for the season ahead.

Just an hour from Auckland, this is your invitation to step away from everyday life, reconnect with yourself and welcome spring feeling lighter, clearer and renewed.

Our Ayurvedic Day Retreat includes:

Cleansing Yoga Practice

Begin the day with a cleansing Yoga practice overlooking the rolling hills and wild West Coast ocean. Through mindful movement and breath, we awaken the body, stimulate circulation and digestion, and create space for renewal.

Ayurvedic Welcome Drink

Settle into the day with our delicious Brahmi Brain Boost, a nourishing Ayurvedic cacao drink infused with Brahmi and warming spices. Created to support mental clarity, focus and a calm mind, it’s the perfect way to awaken the senses and prepare for the day ahead.

Opening Circle

Gather together in our opening circle to arrive, connect and set an intention for the day ahead. A moment to slow down, leave the outside world behind and open yourself to the experience.

Educational Talk about Ayurveda

Discover the foundations of Ayurveda and the ancient cleansing wisdom of Panchakarma. Learn about Agni, Ama, the Doshas and seasonal cleansing, and gain a taste of how a deeper Panchakarma journey can support renewal and wellbeing.

Ayurvedic Lunch

Enjoy a delicious, nourishing plant-based Ayurvedic lunch prepared with seasonal ingredients and digestive spices. Weather permitting, we’ll dine outside on the lawn while taking in the spectacular views across the hills and West Coast.

Quigong

Reconnect with your body through gentle, flowing Qigong movements, surrounded by the expansive beauty of nature. Breath, movement and awareness come together to encourage the flow of energy and prepare us for the deeper practices to follow.

Conscious Breathwork

Explore guided breathing techniques to calm the mind, deepen body awareness and connect more consciously with your emotions. You’ll learn specific breathwork practices that prepare you for the Somatic Emotional Release session that follows, giving you tools to use with your breath as you journey more deeply inward.

Somatic Emotional Release

Create space to gently release emotions, tension and patterns that may be held within the body. Resting on your yoga mat, you’ll be guided through somatic practices, affirmations, music and sound, while applying the breathing techniques explored during the breathwork session. A deeply nurturing experience designed to support emotional release, reconnection and a renewed sense of lightness and clarity.

Closing Circle

We complete our day together with a nurturing closing circle, taking time to reflect, integrate and set an intention for the season ahead. Leave feeling grounded, connected and renewed.

Special Offer All Sattva Botanicals™ will be available at an exclusive discounted rate.

Kula Muriwai

Perched high on the clifftops of Muriwai, Kula is a beautiful purpose-built wellness and retreat venue surrounded by rolling green hills and expansive views across the wild West Coast and Tasman Sea. Just 45 minutes from central Auckland, it feels wonderfully removed from the pace of everyday life — a place to breathe deeply, slow down and reconnect with yourself and nature.

At the heart of Kula is The Shala, a light-filled 90m² space designed for Yoga, wellness and meaningful connection. From your yoga mat, you can take in the sweeping landscape and ocean beyond, creating an incredible setting for our cleansing Yoga practice, Qigong, breathwork and somatic emotional release. Step outside and the spacious lawn opens towards the same spectacular West Coast views — where, weather permitting, we will gather to enjoy our Ayurvedic lunch together.

The name Kula comes from Sanskrit and means a community of like-minded and like-hearted people coming together for a shared purpose. We couldn't imagine a more fitting setting for our Spring Reset: a day to gather, nourish ourselves, learn, breathe, release and reconnect.

With fresh ocean air, open skies and nature all around us, Kula offers the feeling of a true retreat without having to travel far from Auckland. Come for the day and allow yourself to feel a world away.
