The 'Ayurveda & Women’s Health' workshop is designed for women experiencing peri-menopausal or menopausal symptoms. Ayurveda, the ancient healing system from India offers a holistic approach which helps through diet, lifestyle, herbal medicine and Yoga therapy to regain balance, energy, and quality of life.
This workshop covers an introduction to Ayurveda with a specific focus on Menopause. We will explore practical tips to support you through this transformative time.
A list of Ayurvedic remedies, self-administered treatments and herbal formulas for each constitution will be shared to alleviate menopausal symptoms.
The wisdom of Ayurveda encourages people to take responsibility for their own health in alignment with the different stages of their lives, the seasons, and the environment they live in. It acknowledges the unique nature of each person through individual constitutions (Doshas) and applies dietary and lifestyle adjustments, body therapies, and herbal remedies to assist in this transformational process.
Ayurvedic medicine recognises the root cause of most chronic conditions arise from imbalances in the doshas and poor functioning of the digestive system. Peri-menopause and Menopause will be reflected from a western medicine and Ayurvedic point of view. A dosha-specific treatment approach will be discussed.
